The station on 96.1 frequency was commissioned on the 29th of May, 2012 by the former Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola.
The Station which is the first Traffic Station in the country, is meant to help solve some traffic challenges in metropolitan Lagos and its environs by saving travel times.
As part of its fifth anniversary celebration, Lagos Traffic Radio will on June twenty-two, hold its second Lagos Traffic Radio Lecture series, with the theme "advancing urban transportation and mobility".
Key note Speakers expected include Chairman Senate Committee on Land Transportation, Gbenga Ashafa
Governor Akinwunmi Ambode is the Special guest of honour.
