Q. Tell us about yourself.
Response : My name is Doyinsola from Osun State, Edun Abon LGA. I am a graduate of Economics from Bowen University. I am the only girl in my family. I have 3 brothers. the famous Yoruba nollywood actor Damola Olatunji and Hon Tunde Olatunji of the Osun State House of Representative (Ife North) are my brothers.

Q. What was growing up like?
Response : Growing up as the only girl was definitely challenging. my brothers didn't realize I wasn't as strong as them! *laughs* but it was fun, they protected me from hawk eyed boys. The responsibilities bestowed on me by my mum was very high. I did everything in that house I thought I would die of household chores. But now am grateful for it.

Q. What inspired you to go into music?
Response : I started music at a tender age o, I think I was like 7, back in primary school. Then I started singing in church and I would be invited to other churches to sing for them. I was in the reality music show called Star Quest in 2007 with the band called Excel. I went back to complete my school and started professionally in 2015 when I dropped my first official single titled Bamidele. I believe God has deposited a talent on everyone and the onus is left for each and everyone to grow that talent. and one of my brother used to say Your talent will feed you.

Response : I don't know if I should call sewing a hobby cus I make a living out of it also. I love to sew, and people pay me for it. I have a fashion outfit called DY House of Fab. when am not singing or sewing, I love to cook.

Response : I can't choose one o. Onyeka Owenu and Tu Baba!!!Onyeka for her vocal strength and Tu face for his live performance!!!

Response : I like Iyanya. His body is hawt

Q . Tell us about your style.Response : I style myself. I like to wear what I am comfortable in. it gives me confidence, and because I design, and sew them myself, I feel proud from the inside.
Q. Where do you see yourself few years from now?
Response : Amazingly, I started just 2 years ago, and the acceptance keeps growing. I am not where I used to be, but am not where I want to be yet. but with God by my side, Doyinsola go soon blow. I have already been to the USA to shoot my last video, many upcoming artists have not had that luxury. Next 2 years is very key to my success. that's the plan.

Q. How would you rate Nigeria music in terms of acceptability?Response : We have gone far! the last time i was in a club, playing foreign music was like a taboo. When i was in Chicago, I was at clubs where Naija music was played and the Oyinbos couldn't stop dancing. check out Ojuelegba na.

Response : In Nigeria, to get airplay, you have to pay. It should be the other way round. If I do good music, and you find it worthy to play on your radio station, I should get royalty for that. If a DJ makes a mixtape and sells in Alaba, I should get a percentage from his sales. But in naija here, you even pay the dj to use your song on a mixtape he is going to sell. Naija I hail thee!!!
