Unknown to many, the late veteran actress, Zainab
Buky Ajayi was well prepared for death. Well before her death, the late
actress had determined how she should be buried and who should conduct
her burial rites.
A devout Muslim during her lifetime, it is significant to note that
she died on the morning of Eid-l-fitri, the celebrative festival to
mark the end of the 30 day Ramadhan Fasting, the fourth pillar of Islam.
The late Zainab Buky Ajayi told her family that when she eventually
dies, as a Muslim she should be buried without delay. She was interred
on Wednesday, July 6, 2916, the very day she died.

learnt further that the late actress had also insisted that her funeral
rites should be conducted by Islamic clerics from the Nasru Lahi li
Fatihu Islamic Society of Nigeria (NASFAT). She was an active member of
the society until her death on Wednesday.

missed her weekly Sunday Assalatu (felllowship) with NASFAT members at
the Alausa secretariat mosque until when her illness stopped her from
attending.
